B. NICHOLASB COFFIN was born about 1555 in England. He was buried in Brixton, Devon, England on 8 Oct 1613. He married in England, JOHAN (_____). She was buried in Brixton, Devon, England on 3 Feb 1614/15.

“His long will dated at Buttlers in the Parish of Brixton, 12 Sep 1613, proved in Archdeaconry of Totnes (Exeter), 3 Nov 1613, calls him husbandman (farmer) and mentions his children and grandchildren.

A. PETERA COFFIN, (NicholasB) was probably born in Brixton, Devon, England about 1580 and died in Brixton 1627/28. He married probably in Brixton about 1608, JOANE KEMBER.

 Joane Kember was born in Brixton about 1584 and died in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts in May 1661. She was the daughter of ROBERT and (_____) Kember. Robert Kember died in Brixton in 1612/13.

Peter Coffin was a church-warden in Brixton. His widow Joane left for New England with the children in 1642. For the 9 children of Peter and Joane (Kember) Coffin all b. Brixton, England, see op. cit., p. 604-5. The eldest child was: Tristram Coffin

1. TRISTRAM¹ COFFIN, Govenor (PeterA, NicholasB) was baptised in Brixton, Devon, England on 11 Mar 1609/10 and died in Nantucket, Nantucket, Massachusetts on 3 Oct 1681. He married probably in Brixton about 1629, DIONIS STEVENS.
