The Quaboag Plantation and Our Hamilton Connection

I have just become aware of a great site for our Hamilton/Pepper and allied families research! Becky Chickering has created The Quaboag Plantation website with an interactive map showing the first settlers in the area including our John Hamilton, Jr. who owned a saw mill there in 1725!

Becky says on her site, “The plantation, which is now split into the towns of West Brookfield, Brookfield, East Brookfield, North Brookfield, New Braintree and Warren. I have loads of old Town reports, newspapers, journals etc. that I would like to bring into this site and make available to others. I hope you enjoy it.”
