Making Current Family History! :)

As a mom of four children, two lads and two lasses, I am still involved with a living, breathing family everyday! 🙂 Our children are now ages 16 to 26; the two eldest are out of the home and the two youngest are still in high school. I am always trying to balance my two interests: my living family and my dead or historical family:).

My husband Brad (of nearly 37 years) and I had a great time last week when we took our 16 and 18 year olds to Disneyland, in Anaheim, California. We made lots of memories together and created some history for future generations!

Alas, I have been off my computer for about two weeks but plan to get back into the swing of things now.

Another bit of history we created for our family is that we drove our first Prius Hybrid from Redding, CA to Anaheim, CA and averaged about 45 miles per gallon, which was awesome considering that the gas prices ranged from $4.09 to $4.59 per gallon on HWY 5! Ugh!

Anyway we had a fabulous time and I was encouraged to see that the “original” Disneyland had many of the same shows and rides from many years ago. It was a trip down memory lane for Brad and I. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln was amazing and inspirational and patriotic! The night time shows with fireworks were really over the top!

So while you are enjoying your family history, don’t forget to get out and create some family history for future generations, too! 🙂
